Peggy L. Parsons, age 87 of Park Falls and formerly of Rhinelander and Oak Creek, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls. She was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to William and Annie (Wilkes) Boddison.
Peggy married William Parsons Jr. November 15, 1948, in Peterborough. They moved to Milwaukee in 1953 and together, raised their family of five sons. Following retirement, Peggy and Bill moved to Rhinelander in 1991 to enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods as well as the changes of the seasons.
Peggy will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her gentle good humor and infectious smile will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Peggy is survived by four sons, William (Margaret) Parsons III of Delafield, Jeff Parsons of Rhinelander, Mark (Joan) Parsons of Park Falls and John (Cindy) Parsons of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren, William, Leslie, Christopher, Amanda, Rory, Celina, Brae, and Ashley; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Parsons Jr. on April 30, 2003; a son, Thomas Parsons on May 16, 2009 and two brothers, Sidney and Lloyd.
The funeral service for Peggy will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Carlson Funeral Home with Rev. Ellen Rasmussen officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery. Carlsonfh.com.
