STAR JOURNAL REPORT
A Girl Scout troop from Rhinelander is making the first day of school special for one local family.
Scouts in Troop 7311 chose to supply a family in need with back-to-school clothes as a community service project. The Oneida County Social Services Department helped by selecting the family.
The girls collected new clothing for the children from family and friends and contributed some of their own money as well. The girls said they plan to undertake a similar project next summer.
