obituary: Bruce Alan Olson
Bruce “Boogie” Alan Olson, age 62 of Rhinelander, died Monday, April 18, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bruce was born March 30, 1954 to Harold and Gudrun (Loka) Olson. Bruce attended school in Rhinelander and worked at the Rhinelander Paper Mill for 29 years. Bruce was married to Cynthia A. Olson on August 18, 1996 in LaRonge, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Bruce loved playing baseball for Pabst, and enjoyed his time on golf league, pool league, riding his Harley Davidson and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife, friends and family. Bruce was a lifelong member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bundy.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Cindy; his children, Beth Olson (Darrell Ford) of Kaukauna, Chad Olson of North Little Rock, Ark., Sarah Olson of Menasha, Angela (Jeremy) Brandenburg of Richlands, N.C.; stepson, Kevin (Tracy) Litzen of Rhinelander; his grandchildren, Terrell, Jaiden, Dylan Ford, Skylar Olson, Logan Jones, Peyton, Jeremy Jr, Shelby Brandenburg and Cody Litzen; his siblings, Wayne (Karen) Olson of LaRonge, Saskatchewan, Canada, Ron Olson of Rhinelander, Mitch (Dawn) Olson of Rhinelander and Joy (Jeff) Schisel of Bundy; his aunt, Mary Jean and Uncle, Bob Buschmann of Bundy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Olson.
