Kyle John Holquist, age 25, of Rhinelander, died April 10, 2016, as a result of a boating accident. He was born October 7, 1990, in Rhinelander to Jane Hegewald-O’Marro and James Holquist. Kyle attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating in 2009. He was employed by ABX.
Kyle had a very generous heart when it came to his family, friends, and anyone he would meet. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his dogs, Brody and Dallas, fishing and boating with family and friends. Kyle was also a great mechanic who enjoyed wrenching on anything with a muffler after a day playing in the mud.
Kyle is survived by his mothe,r Jane (Ryan) Hegewald-O’Marro; his father, James (Cheryl) Holquist; paternal grandmother, Joy Holquist; maternal grandparent,s George and Linda Hegewald; step-grandparents Harold and Virginia O’Marro and Dale Rine; step-sister Nicole Cyran; step-brother Brandon Belongia; his special friend Becky Laska; other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Neil Holquist.
A memorial service for Kyle will be held at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Monday, April 18, with Reverend Ellen Rasmussen officiating. Visitation for Kyle will be from 9 a.m. until just prior to the services at the First United Methodist Church. A memorial is being established in Kyle’s name and gifts may be directed to his family.
