Original story
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a prisoner that walked away from the Lincoln County Jail.
Jason Lee Albers, 32, was serving a sentence in the Lincoln County Jail and had Huber privileges, meaning permission to leave the premises under limited circumstances such as work or family affairs.
On Tuesday, Dec. 8, Albers was let out the jail to visit his probation officer and speak to an employer about a job opportunity.
He never returned.
Albers is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his arms and torso. At the time of his incarceration, Albers had a full beard, but he may have shaved, and has shaved his head in the past.
Albers was recently living in Merrill but has lived in Tomahawk as well.
Albers is a convicted felon whose crimes mainly consist of property crime, but he also has two convictions for sex crimes.
Law enforcement does not have any information that would lead them to believe that Albers is a threat to the public, but as with any inmate who is considered an escapee, you should use caution and not approach Albers, instead call your local police. Callers may also phone Crime Stoppers of Lincoln County at 715-536-3726. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
A warrant, enforceable in all 50 states, has been entered for Albers.
