Obituary: Robert “Bob” J. Rodziczak
Robert “Bob” J. Rodziczak, age 81, of the Town of Pelican, died at home Sunday, December 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and wife at the age of 81. Bob was born July 6, 1934 in Milwaukee to Roman and Martha (Drzewiecki) Rodziczak. He grew up in Milwaukee, attended Boys’ Tech High School and began working on a Tug Boat as a Linesman on January 26, 1959. His career would span over thirty years until he retired as a Captain in 1990. His son Steve is now following in his father’s footsteps as he is now a Linesman on a Tug Boat. Robert had also owned six taxi cabs for five years through City Vet Taxi Service in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage to Sharon Bebo in 1980 at the Mitchell Park Conservatory (The Domes) in Milwaukee. The couple had their marriage blessed in 1990 at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. The couple purchased a home in Rhinelander, and Bob began to remodel it. They moved to Rhinelander in 1995. Bob loved the outdoors and a good cold beer! He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping with the family, and campfires and was known to have as many as three campfires going at one time. He also enjoyed remodeling, woodworking and masonry. He enjoyed watching his son participate in Dirt Oval Modified Class Racing and was very proud of the Rodziczak Racing Team. He liked watching NASCAR, racing RC cars, and enjoyed watching RC helicopters and airplanes. Bob and Sharon loved to travel, especially to New Port Richey, Florida and taking cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean. He will be remembered for his perfectionism, sense of humor, and for being a very loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and for his special bond he had with his camping buddy and granddaughter, Tamra. Bob will be dearly missed by his loving wife; Sharon, children; Dean (Sandy) Rodziczak of Wind Lake, Wisconsin, Jeff (Moe) Rodziczak of Rhinelander, Steve Rodziczak and Tisha Cressy of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rob (Jen) Rodziczak of Rhinelander, and Sue (John) Bart of Rhinelander, step-children; Karen (Pete) Cronin of St. Francis, Wisconsin, Brian (Patricia) St. Louis of Cudahy, Wisconsin, Robert (Carol) St. Louis of West Bend, Wisconsin, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, twelve step-great-grandchildren, one sister; Virg Butenhoff of Greendale, Wisconsin, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law; William (Gale) Bebo of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Bob is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by three brothers; Mike, Ralph, and Inky Rodziczak. The Memorial Mass for Bob will be celebrated on Saturday evening, December 12, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church located at the corner of King and Conro Streets, Rhinelander.
