For the 9th year, Bambi Guth, Taco John’s store manager, is continuing her annual tradition of raising funds for the Rhinelander Salvation Army.
“It is our pleasure to help our community and we are honored to work with so many great people,” Guth said at the award presentation. “We have been teaming up with the Rhinelander Salvation Army since our opening December 2006. This is our 9th year of giving, in conjunction with our Nachos Navidad holiday promotion.”
Thomas Bremer, Service Extension Representative of the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Salvation Army, presented Ms. Guth with a gold kettle in honor of her efforts in raising thousands of dollars for the Rhinelander Salvation Army.
Rhinelander businesses and individuals contribute to the efforts of the Rhinelander Salvation Army, knowing that $.86 of every $1.00 donated stays right here in our community. The Rhinelander Salvation Army provides emergency assistance with housing, transportation and medical needs. Housing services include temporary shelter at Frederick Place and emergency utility and rent assistance. Transportation services include gas cards or assistance with repairs. Medical assistance frequently includes help with life-saving prescription medications.
Donations may be sent to PO Box 1081 in Rhinelander, or made securely online at https://www.onlineredkettle.org/rhinelander.
