Viewpoint: No Social Security raise
Editor:
It’s no wonder that the people do not trust the government. Now we hear one more big lie.
Those on Social Security will not get a raise in because of the cost of gas. Yes, the price of gas has gone down, and Big Brother is not collecting as much tax money from it. But what does that have to do with the Social Security system? Next we will hear that the government will not be able to fix the highways because the Highway Trust Fund is not getting enough money from Social Security because the people are not paying enough into Social Security. What?!
It’s too bad that our elected officials cannot come out and say, like so many other programs, that Social Security is broke, and do something about it.
