Obituary: Harold F. Bozile
Harold F. Bozile, age 87 of Rhinelander, died Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Grace Lodge Assisted Living. He was born on April 22, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harold J. and Rosella Bozile.
Harold’s life was full of fun, laughter, and joy. When Harold was in the room, he was the life of the party! Harold enjoyed camping, hunting, boating, snowmobiling, rooting for the Packers, and golfing. Harold was the first registered member at Northwood Golf Course in Rhinelander. He grew up in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1946. He entered the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines and Japan. He married Dolores Wittock in 1951 and they were blessed with five children, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Harold was a proud union mason-contractor and helped build many of the churches, schools, hospitals, and homes in the area. Harold and his father owned and operated Bozile Stone Company in Rhinelander for many years. He was also a masonry instructor at the Job Corps Center in Blackwell for 10 years.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores; and two sons, Bruce and Brent (Alison) Bozile. Harold is survived by his friend and companion of 29 years, Lois Kilawee; son, Barry Bozile of Rhinelander; and daughters, Barb Bozile (Mike Marquardt) of Rhinelander and Beverly (George) Tipler of Oshkosh.
The family will hold a private memorial for Harold at a later date. The family would also like to thank Ministry Hospice and Grace Lodge and their staff for the excellent care and compassion Harold received while a resident there.
