Summer classes at Nicolet College
Enrollment is now open for the more than 50 classes Nicolet College will offer in the upcoming Summer Semester.
“Taking college classes in summer has many advantages,” said Kenneth Urban, interim president at Nicolet. “Students can shorten their time to graduation, lighten class loads in future semesters, or even begin their college careers.”
This summer Nicolet will offer classes in numerous academic areas, including University Transfer, Accounting, Art, Computer Software, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Graphic Design, Manufacturing, and Health Occupations.
Summer Semester begins Friday, June 5.
Classes are also offered in various formats. Some will be held in the traditional lecture and lab setting; others in the hybrid format, which blends face-to-face and online learning; and many can be completed entirely online from any location.
“This gives students a great deal of flexibility to earn a college credential,” Urban explained. “It’s all about giving students options so they can pick the classes that best fit their needs and summer plans.”
Urban also noted that all credits earned in University Transfer classes and many from other Nicolet programs transfer to numerous four-year colleges and universities, including every campus in the University of Wisconsin System.
“Every year we have students from other colleges who are home for the summer take classes at Nicolet and then transfer these credits to the campus they’ll attend in Fall Semester,” Urban said.
An added benefit is that tuition for Nicolet credits is typically significantly less than at four-year campuses and the credits count exactly the same towards a bachelor’s degree.
