PotatoFest and Duck Regatta Aug. 30
The second annual PotatoFest, hosted by Downtown Rhinelander Inc. (DRI) and Tri-County Council-Lily’s House, will be held Aug. 30. There will be many spud-related activities, along with food and craft vendors, and live music throughout the afternoon into the evening.
The Duck Regatta will also be held Aug. 30 in association with PotatoFest. At about 3 p.m., trucks will release 5,000 rubber ducks into the Wisconsin River at the Davenport Street bridge, where they’ll race downriver to the Kemp Street bridge. The top 20 rubber ducks drawn at 5 p.m. will win their owners cash prizes.
Tickets for the Duck Regatta are $5 and are available at any bar or restaurant that’s a member of the Tavern League, at the Chamber of Commerce and at the Downtown Rhinelander Inc. offices. Proceeds from the Duck Regatta benefit Downtown Rhinelander, Inc., the Oneida County Tavern League, and the Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
