Info sessions on Nicolet?s Dental Assistant program June 23, 25
Anyone interested in a career as a Dental Assistant is invited to learn more about the field at any one of two information sessions being held by Nicolet College.
The information sessions will be held on the Nicolet Campus just south of Rhinelander and in Lac du Flambeau.
“These sessions will give people a solid understanding of what it is like to work as a dental assistant,” said Lenore Mangles, dean of Health Occupations at Nicolet. “Those attending will also learn about the courses and education Nicolet offers that lead to successful careers in this field.”
The information session on the Nicolet Campus will run from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, June 23, in Art Tech Center Room 214.
In Lac du Flambeau, the session will be held Wednesday, June 25, at the Peter Christensen Dental Clinic on Old Abe Road from 1 to 3 p.m.
Nicolet’s Dental Assistant diploma program consists of 33 credits of coursework conducted during two semesters.
Fall Semester classes start Monday, Aug. 25, with Dental Assistant classes being held in the new, state-of-the-art Peter Christensen Dental Clinic in Lac du Flambeau.
Dental Assistants work with dentists as they examine and treat patients. Select courses in Nicolet’s diploma program can be applied to the Dental Hygienist associate degree if students want to continue their education in the dental health field.
