Iron Mountain VA honors Rhinelander VA physicians
The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center honors its 67 primary and specialty care physicians, psychiatrists and mid-level practitioners employed at the main facility in Iron Mountain and at its seven community outpatient clinics located in the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin, including the VA clinic in Rhinelander.
Elwood Robins, MD, Karen Hagen, NP, and Leslie Bruns, NP, serve area veterans’ at the VA Rhinelander Clinic. They, along with all VA employees, are critical to providing veterans with personalized, proactive and patient-centered health care, which integrates the excellent clinical practice of medicine for which they are known for with positive patient experiences for Veterans and their families.
“Our employees are the reason why the medical center consistently receives four and five stars in quality and efficiency and was selected as a top performer two of the last three years by The Joint Commission, the nation’s largest accreditor of hospitals,” Jim Rice, Medical Center Director, said.
The VA Outpatient Clinic in Rhinelander served 3,495 area Veterans last year and was recognized as a 2013 High Performing Patient Aligned Care Team. The clinic offers a variety of health care services to area veterans, including primary care, mental health services and referrals for specialty care services with specialists at other VA medical centers.
The Rhinelander VA Clinic is located at 639 West Kemp Street, Rhinelander.
