The Diversity Club at Rhinelander High School focuses on acceptance. Four members of the club recently created a presentation to help other students understand the nature of dating violence, its impact and how to get help when in an abusive situation.
Phoenix Bise, Megan Marvin, Anavay White and Nick Wagler used dating violence skits to get their message across. The skits involved situations that demonstrate physical plus emotional abuse, jealousy and social media misuse. February was Dating Violence Awareness Month. During the last part of February and the first part of March, this group of students delivered 25-minute presentations during advisory periods to all ninth and 10th grade students at RHS and also to the junior and high school students of Northwoods Community Secondary School (NCSS).
