The Oneida County Courthouse will open tomorrow at 8 a.m. as usual after being closed late afternoon Monday.
Officials closed down the Oneida County Courthouse earlier today after a black bag was left unattended and the owner could not be found.
The bag was examined by members of the Oneida/Marathon County Bomb Team and found to contain nothing dangerous.
According to a press release from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, staff discovered a black duffel bag and were unable to find the owner.
“It was first noticed by staff at about 10 a.m.,” Oneida County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Lloyd Gauthier said. “It had been sitting there. And they brought it to the attention of law enforcement at 2 p.m.”
The scene was cleared around 6 p.m.
