Rhinelander District Library offers several programs
Several events are offered in the coming weeks at the Rhinelander District Library.
Baby Storytime
The Rhinelander District Library’s fall session of Baby Storytime is in progress. This storytime is conducted on Monday’s at 10:15 a.m. Designed for young ones ages six months to two years of age, this 20-minute program consists of simple stories, fingerplays and music. A social/play time follows each program.
Afterschool Storytime
On Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 4 to 4:45 p.m. the Rhinelander District Library will be hosting an Afterschool Storytime in the library’s meeting room. Join Children’s Librarian Mr. Tom for stories, puppets, action rhymes, fingerplays and a short movie.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors
The reading therapy dogs are looking for children to read to them Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Rhinelander District Library. Sign-up for a 10-minute session by stopping by the Children’s Department or calling 715-265-1070 ext. 2. This is a fun, no pressure way for children to improve their reading skills.
Preschool Programs
Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the Rhinelander District Library on Thursday, Oct. 24. A 20-minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 31/2 who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Department.
A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 31/2 to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. At the completion of the programs, caregivers and children from both groups will gather together to do a simple craft.
