DOT awards grant to city of Rhinelander
Dignitaries from across the state made a visit to Rhinelander Thursday to attend a presentation at the new Printpack Inc. facility located on Hwy. 17. The city of Rhinelander was awarded a $425,053 Transportation Economic Assistance grant from the Department of Transportation. The grant funded half the money for a construction project in front of the new Printpack facility. The project provides safe access for the 140 workers who are employed at this company. Attending the ceremony were (from left) Jimmy Love, president and chief operating officer of Printpack; Senator Tom Tiffany; Rob Swearingen, representative of the 34th assembly district; Rhinelander Mayor Dick Johns; Dennis Love, chairman and chief executive officer of Printpack; Mark Gottlieb, secretary of the Department of Transportation; and Blaine Oborn, Rhinelander’s city administrator.
