Rhinelander?s Let?s Go Fishing Program set to launch
The Rhinelander Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing will launch its first excursion and boat christening July 24 and 25 at Hodag Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Let’s Go Fishing is a FREE program that enriches the lives of those folks who may not have access to a boat or the ability to enjoy our waterways through free fishing and boating excursions.
The program strengthens communities, builds relationships and creates memories. The organization has chapters throughout Minnesota and is being introduced to Wisconsin, with its first chapter, right here in Rhinelander.
“We are all very excited to bring this outstanding program to Rhinelander,” Chrissy Petesron, committee member of Let’s Go Fishing Northwoods, said. “We could not have done it without the dedication and commitment of our planning committee and community businesses. I can’t wait to get our first group of passengers out on the water.”
Let’s Go Fishing Northwoods will host free fishing and boating excursions for area businesses July 24 and community members July 25 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. both days.
All the equipment is provided. The excursions are led by trained volunteers. Don’t miss out on food and refreshments courtesy of Sugar Camp Lions and Holiday Acres.
To schedule an excursion or if you are interested in volunteering you may contact Sue Koehne, President of Let’s Go Fishing Northwoods Chapter at 715-219-LGFN.
The non-profit Let’s Go Fishing program was founded in 2002 and currently has 18 chapters throughout Minnesota and 1 in Wisconsin. For more information about LGF, visit www.lgfws.com.
