The Oneida County Fair is searching for the ugliest lamp to ever light up a room. A contest will be held at this year’s Oneida County Fair, with a $100 gift certificate awarded to the ugliest lamp of them all.

To enter a lamp, fill out the registration form found on the fair’s website at oneidacountyfairwi.com. Mail in the registration along with a $5 entry fee to the UW-Extension address listed on the form. All proceeds will benefit the Oneida County Fair.

Bring the lamp to the exhibit court (tennis court area) at Pioneer Park in Rhinelander Thursday, Aug. 1, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Judging will take place Saturday, Aug. 3, at 4 p.m. All lamps will be on display during the entire fair and will be judged on true ugliness and originality.
