The Lakeland Gardeners will host their 10th annual Garden Walk and Ice Cream Social Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Participants may tour a variety of private home gardens, as well as visit the Seasons of Life Garden, a public space located on the grounds of the Seasons of Life Hospice Home, which is designed and maintained by the Lakeland Gardeners in memory of individuals who have died.
All proceeds from the Garden Walk benefit this garden, helping to continue the maintenance and expansion of the project. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 16 and under, and are available at Minocqua garden centers and the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s raffle includes a hand-painted Adirondack chair, Garden Girl outdoor decor and a handmade quilt. Tickets are sold at all Garden Walk locations, and are $5 each or three for $10.
The proceeds from the raffle benefit patients and families cared for by the Dr. Kate Hospice team. The drawing will be held Monday, July 22, at noon at the Dr. Kate Hospice office.
During the Garden Walk, plants will be available for purchase from the Lakeland Gardeners at the Seasons of Life Hospice Home. All plants, both shade and sun perennials, come from the Seasons of Life Garden or private gardens of the club’s members.
