RASTA Rally Mountain Bike Race May 12
The Rhinelander Area Silent Trails Association (RASTA) is sponsoring the annual RASTA Rally mountain bike race on Sunday, May 12, at Camp Tesomas in Rhinelander. This race offers classic Northwoods mountain bike racing with events for everyone from novice to expert. The RASTA Rally in the past has drawn more than 100 racers plus spectators.
The three race events include a 26-mile course (two laps); a 14-mile course (one lap); and a 7-mile course for the new racers. Two short course races for kids up to 11 years old are held after the main events. Registration begins Sunday at 10 a.m., with races beginning at noon.
Further updated information may be found at rastatrails.org, the RASTA Trails page on Facebook or by email at [email protected].
RASTA maintains the mountain bike, snowshoe and hiking trails at Washburn Lake Silent Sports Trails Area and Mud Lake Trails in Oneida County. Proceeds from the RASTA Rally support maintenance activities, equipment and supplies.
In addition to the RASTA Rally, RASTA will host a Wisconsin Endurance Mountainbike Series (WEMS) race, Rock’n Root, on the Washburn Lake Trails on Saturday, Aug. 10.
