RHS Mock Trial team earns legislative citation
The RHS Mock Trial team was recently presented with a legislative citation from Rep. Rob Swearingen at the school. The citation, which was read on the floor of the Assembly, commends the team for winning an unprecedented 16th state championship for Rhinelander High School. Accompanying the citation was a letter from Governor Walker congratulating the team for their success in the state tournament and wishing them luck at the upcoming national tournament. Team members also received a congratulatory letter from Congressman Shawn Duffy.
The RHS team will represent Wisconsin at the National High School Mock Trial Championship May 8-13 in Indianapolis, Ind. Currently, the team is raising funds to help defray their travel costs. Approximately $12,000 is needed to help cover their expenses, and $7,700 has been raised to date. Anyone wishing to contribute may do so by sending a check to the attention of Kathy Vick-Martini at the high school, made payable to the RHS Mock Trial Team.
