As a condition of receiving a recent $15,000 grant, Rhinelander High School is required to hold a Community Conversation. The purpose of the grant is to increase employment of youth with disabilities. The Community Conversation will be held Monday, Jan. 21, at the Days Inn, 70 N. Stevens St. (formerly the Claridge) from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Community Conversations are designed to explore the often-untapped resources, creative ideas and effective problem-solving strategies that can result when new and diverse perspectives come together around a shared challenge or concern. In this case, the challenge is to prepare more individuals with significant disabilities for employment in the community.
Breakfast will be served at the event. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Thursday, Jan. 17, to Shelley Lehman, (715) 365-9500, ext. 8135 or email@example.com; or Tracy Hoffhein, (715) 365-9500, ext. 8129 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
