Arrests in heroin investigation
On Dec. 19, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG) continued an investigation involving the use and delivery of controlled substances, specifically heroin, in the township of Woodruff.
Events surrounding this investigation led to the arrest of three individuals. Joseph D. Potvine (25), Joseph D. Lynch (26) and Korwin D. Rice (26) for multiple charges including, but not limited to, conspiracy to deliver heroin, maintain a drug dwelling, delivery of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
These arrests are part of an ongoing controlled substance investigation by the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group (NORDEG) Task Force. Participating agencies in this investigation included the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, the Rhinelander Police Department, the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office, the Woodruff Police Department and the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
