Outdoor Emergency Care course at Camp 10
The Camp 10 Ski Patrol, a member organization of the National Ski Patrol, is now accepting candidates for their next Outdoor Emergency Care course. No prior first aid or medical training is required. Outdoor Emergency Care is a prerequisite course for membership in the National Ski Patrol and covers materials on emergency first aid in an outdoors environment.
Candidates must be over the age of 18 (unless receiving the direct sponsorship of a current NSP member, and then the minimum age is 15 for a junior patroller) and have positive past histories in their respective communities.
The course will be taught at the Camp 10 Ski Area, located off Cty. A between Tomahawk and Rhinelander, during the winter months. Candidates will also participate in the National Ski Patrol Toboggan Rescue Course.
The OEC Course is taught by NSP trained and certified volunteer instructors. Interested individuals should contact the Camp 10 Ski Patrol via e-mail at [email protected].
