Crafter’s Circle: Meets every other Tuesday at 1 p.m. (Dec. 4 & 18). Share your love of hand made items and crafting! In December we will be working on Christmas ornaments that will be for sale on a tree at the Center as fundraisers. Other handmade ornament donations welcome! A knitting group also congregates during this time to work on their own projects. We are always looking for others to lead new projects!
Card Club: Every Friday afternoon 1-4 p.m. Come play 500, Bridge, Pinochle or anything else we have players for. Refreshments served. Annual fee of $2 plus 50 cents per week.
Cribbage: Thursday afternoons from 1-2:30 p.m. Judy Matteson and Betty Hargraves will also teach beginners who want to learn.

Creative Writing Classes: Friday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m. Taught by Jan Lambele (retired teacher), volunteers to instruct this popular class including short stories, poetry and other interesting English class assignments.
Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program: Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8:30-9:15 a.m. or Mondays and Wednesdays 12:45-1:30 p.m. Seated and standing exercise class focusing on range of motion, strength and flexibility exercises led by certified instructor, Susie Wegner. Wii Fitness: Older adults are welcome to use the Senior Center’s Wii console and giant flat screen TV for Wii bowling, golf, boxing, tennis or Wii Fittness program and step platform, whenever the room is unscheduled. Call the number above before coming or check in at the front desk.
Zumba© Gold: Tuesday afternoons from 3-4 p.m. Dance exercise for older active adults set to international rhythms including cha cha, mambo, merengue, cumbia, belly dance, hava nagila and more. Zumba© Gold is not as intense as other Zumba© sessions but is still a good workout and includes stretching and balance elements. Led by certified Zumba© Gold instructor, Stephanie Schroeder. Cost is $2 per class or the entire 12 weeks for $20. Join at any time. Current session Nov. 13-Feb. 5.
Alzheimer’s Caregivers’ Support Group: Meets third Thursday (Dec. 20th), 1-2:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Greater Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Anyone with a loved one with any kind of memory loss is welcomed to attend. Respite care available to allow caregivers to attend meeting. Please call ahead at least 2 days for this service.

Oneida Co. Parkinson’s Support Group: Meets third Monday (Dec. 17) from 1-2:30 p.m. Led by Norma Semling. Resource information as well as monthly speakers on topics of interest to individuals and families faced with Parkinson disease.
V.I.P. Support Group (Visually Impaired Persons): Meets third Tuesday (Dec. 18) 1-2:30 p.m. for persons dealing with vision loss. Led by Jim Unger, Rehabilitation Specialist, Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Historic Round Table: “Ethnic Customs for Christmas” will be the presentation at 1 p.m. for Thursday, Dec. 20 with focus on the Midwest, given by Dale Caskey. Open to anyone.
Senior Center Book Club: Meeting early this month only – Friday, Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. Selection will be “A Christmas Blizzard” by Garrison Keillor. Senior Center Christmas Party: Sunday, Dec. 16th. Cocktails at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m. at the Hideout Steakhouse, 1843 North Stevens St., Rhinelander. Buffet Menu: Roast Turkey Breast, Sirloin Beef Tips, Parsley Butter Potatoes, Steamed fresh Veggies, House Salad, Ice Cream with Peppermint Stick. Cost is $15 per person.
