Making Tracks: Getting ready for the guide book
One of the most important roles of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce is working to educate both visitors and residents about the great offerings in the Rhinelander Community. We need to keep up to date on not just the activities and events we host, but all of the events and happenings in the community, as well as our business community as it grows and changes. One of the biggest undertakings at the chamber each year, to help us do that, is the creation of our area guide.
The Rhinelander Area Guide is published annually and right now we are hard at work putting together the most informative and useful book we can, but we need a little help in a couple of areas. First, you may have read or heard that we are collecting photos for our upcoming guide book. We want the photos that capture the essence of living in Rhinelander. Maybe you and the family out for a day of fishing, or biking on the trails, a great sunrise or sunset, or that black bear sneaking into your yard. Whatever screams Rhinelander to you, we want to see. The easiest way to get us your photos is via email, [email protected], but if you need to, you can drop off a CD or hard copy pictures at the chamber office.
We also include a calendar of events in our annual book and we need your help with that section as well. Are you a community organization that hosts an annual community event? We want to know about all of those events and make sure we get them included in our area events calendar. I know that many times you don’t have an exact date for events that are going to be held next year, so we just need to know the month and title of the event and we’ll include as many as we can. Again, email us any events you’d like to be considered for inclusion in the 2013 area guide to [email protected].
We will be printing 15,000 copies of the 2013 Area Guide and will be distributing them throughout the Northwoods and other parts of Wisconsin. If you are a chamber member, now is the time to get your ad into the book as well. Or if you want to advertise in the book but are not a chamber member yet, give me a call because I’d love to talk to you about all the work that goes on at the chamber and all of the things your membership will support.
If you have photos or events to consider for the book you have until Nov. 2 to get those into us. We’ll be publishing the book in late January of 2013. So if you have a minute, send us your information so we can show off to thousands of visitors and residents what living in Rhinelander has to offer.
