Obituary: Robert T. Huey
Robert T. Huey, 80, of Rhinelander/Sugar Camp, died on Sept. 10, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Tomahawk. He was born on Jan. 15, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., to Robert and Sylvia (Morvick) Huey Jr.
He married Jean Jankers on Sept. 10, 1970, in Bensonville, Ill., and they then moved to the Sugar Camp area where they have lived since. Bob was employed as a drywall finisher for most of his working life. He and his wife Jean also owned and operated the Idlewild Bar on Jennie Webber Lake, for quite a number of years. He loved all sports especially bowling. Bob was a devoted and avid member of the Sugar Camp Lions Club for many years. He loved being a “Lion”.
He is survived by his wife Jean, his daughter Robin (Peter) Simunovich, his two sons Robert (Kathy) Huey Jr. and Reid Huey, his three step sons Thomas (Rochelle) Dohe, Robert Dohe and David (Mary) Dohe, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jack.
A memorial service for Bob will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m., at the Carlson Funeral Home with Father William Horath officiating. Visitation for Bob will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Carlson Funeral Home.
