YMCA of the Northwoods offering a new personal fitness program
The YMCA of the Northwoods is rolling out its brand new Y Personal Fitness program (YPF), one more value to becoming a member at the Y. Registration is open through Sept. 30, and is free to Y members.
Y Personal Fitness is a 12-week program which is designed to help those ready-to-be-fit individuals, move toward becoming regular exercisers. YPF is a flexible, convenient and fun program which shows the participants how to create a cardiovascular and strength training workout plan. During the program, participants will meet four times, privately, with a trained YMCA staff member to create a fitness plan, learn how to use the wellness center equipment, and how to remain physically active after the program is complete. The YPF program runs 12 weeks from sign up date with a trained Y staff member.
Through this program, participants are given the tools to make successful long-term changes in their health and well-being. Having an exercise program, that each participant creates with the help of staff, will allow participants to gain confidence through exercise, improve their mood, and begin to lead a healthier lifestyle even after the program is complete.
Sign up is available to members at the Welcome Center of the YMCA of the Northwoods. Sign up before the spots are all filled. Registration ends Sept. 30.
