Summer horticulture asssistant back at UW-Extension
Marissa Hatlen, last summer’s UW-Extension Horticulture Assistant for Oneida County, will once again be available to answer gardening, plant and insect questions this growing season.
Marissa began her horticulture duties for the UW-Extension Office last June, shortly after graduating as valedictorian of her 2011 Rhinelander High School class. She’s now studying Spanish and Linguistics at UW-Madison.
Her position at UW-Extension will find her helping out at the Community Garden Monday and Wednesday mornings, as well as at the Hodag Farmer’s Market on some Saturdays. Regular summer office hours for Marissa will be 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays through August.
For help with plant or insect identification, plant problems, soil and lawn issues, or any other horticulture questions, call Marissa at (715) 365-2750.
