Brandon J. Wege, 21, of Rhinelander, died on June 26, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Brandon was born April 29, 1991, in Rhinelander, to Dale and Janice (Smoczyk) Wege.
He attended schools in Rhinelander, graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 2009. After his schooling he went to work as a mechanic. He first was employed by Rhinelander Toyota, and then recently by the Inland Power Company of Oshkosh. Brandon was always busy with his many interests. He loved the outdoors and hunting, fishing, mudding and time spent at the family hunting cabin. His indoor loves included bowling, trips to the casino and anything to do with cars and trucks. He genuinely loved coming home to his parents and family on weekends.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Dale and Janice Wege of Rhinelander; his brotherm Andrew (Ellen) Wege of Rhinelander; his grandmothers, Joan Smoczyk and Kathleen Wege, both of Rhinelander; his aunts, Jill (Dean) Funk, Julie (Thomas) Prahl, Cindy (Bob) Tuman and Susan Wege; and his uncles, Craig Dotter, Joseph (Joann) Smoczyk, Jeffrey (Teresa) Smoczyk, Bryan Wege and Jack (Susan) Wege. Brandon was preceded by his grandfathers, Dave Wege and Jim Smoczyk; and his aunt, Joyce Smoczyk-Dotter.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the Carlson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home, with the Deacon Ronald Bosi officiating.
