Professional Musky Tournament Trail visits Eagle River June 23-24
The Professional Musky Tournament Trail – PMTT, will be coming next week to the musky factory known as the Eagle River Chain. Many of the best musky anglers from all over North America will be competing in the PMTT Mercury Marine`s Summer Challenge that is hosted by the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce.
Water levels have been high this summer in the area, so the patterns that anglers used in the past may be a little different this year. These waters are known for very good numbers of muskies in the 34-45 inch range. We know there will be plenty of fish caught, but just how many it will take to win is the question, as this chain set the record of any PMTT event in 2010 with 71 muskies registered over 34 inches.
Based on full fields, the 1st place prize package could be over $20,000. Anyone can enter the tournament as it is open to all. Even if you are not going to fish the event you can stop by at the end of the day on Saturday at 6 p.m. or Sunday at 3 p.m. and see the standings and pictures of the fish that were caught and the winners. The end of the day festivities are being held at Eagle River Inn and Resort.
