Nicolet?s Early Childhood program Open House May 4
Updated Thurs., 5/3 – Anyone interested in a career in Early Childhood Education is invited to an Open House at Nicolet College Friday, May 4, to learn more about the associate degree and certificates offered through the college’s Early Childhood Education program.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Nicolet’s Child Care Center. Prospective students will tour the center, learn about the different careers in the field, meet instructors and current students, and also hear about transfer opportunities to earn a bachelor’s degree.
Nicolet currently has Early Childhood credit transfer agreements with 11 four-year colleges and universities. The transfer agreements allow students to transfer a portion of their Nicolet credits to these institutions. Once students earn the appropriate bachelor’s degree, they are eligible to receive their state teaching license to teach in Wisconsin public school systems.
At the open house information will also be available on Nicolet’s admissions process, financial aid and scholarships. Those attending will also receive a voucher that waives the college’s $30 online application fee. Light refreshments will be served.
The Child Care Center is located on Day Care Drive on the Rhinelander campus, about 100 yards north of the college’s main entrance off of Hwy. G.
