Business Close-Up: Furniture for all needs
If you’re in the market for some new furniture or bedding, check out the selection at Lakeland Furniture and Mattress in Minocqua. A large selection of good quality furniture, along with fair prices and top quality customer service is what Rich Biller, owner and operator, has built his business on.
This spacious and well appointed store has unique and one-of-a-kind home decor items, as well as a large selection of sofas, lamps, recliners, dining sets, headboards, dressers, sectionals, futons and more.
For those looking to decorate their home or cottage with a cozy Northwoods flair, Lakeland Furniture certainly has many items to choose from in this area. There are sofa and chair sets upholstered in rustic, hard wearing fabrics which depict bears, birds and many other Northwoods creatures. In addition, customers can pick out a piece of furniture and have it custom upholstered.
“We have a large selection of material swatches that customers can choose from,” said Rich. “We also have an interior decorator that will make house calls, so people can get a professional idea on what would look good in their home or cottage.”
Rich takes pride in the delivery service he provides his customers. Many items can be delivered in one to five days, and his crew will haul away old furniture, and even move furniture around so new items can be included in a home. In addition, Rich will make arrangements for furniture to be delivered all across the state and even into the U.P.
“Even customers that live in Wausau or Madison can have furniture delivered to their homes from here,” said Rich. “I have a network of delivery people that can get an item just about anywhere.”
Rich does his best to buy his inventory from local and Wisconsin craftspeople, including Amish-made items. These are truly unique. Coffee tables shaped like little boats, complete with oars; chairs and headboards made from rough hewn branches and trees; and unique chairs made from willow wood. He also offers many furniture and home decor items that are American made.
New lighting can make a room shine, and at Lakeland Furniture there is a large selection of lamps to choose from. Bears sitting coyly under lampshades featuring bear prints and many made from antlers and other natural items are featured.
Bedding is also available here. Quality mattresses with eye catching headboards and bedroom sets made from rustic materials are favorites and are set up in a spacious area so customers can get a feel for how this type of furniture will look in their own homes.
The inventory at Lakeland Furniture changes by the week, and Rich encourages his customers, old and new, to frequently check back to see what is on the showroom floor.
